Training Webinar on Understanding NFPA 14 Standpipes
Webinar presentation will provide facility managers, building and fire officials and service providers a basic working knowledge of the design and installation requirements for standpipe and hose systems.
A new webinar has been prepared by Fire Smarts, LLC to provide facility managers, building and fire officials and service providers a basic working knowledge of the design and installation requirements for standpipe and hose systems based on ‘NFPA 14 Standard for the Installation of Standpipe and Hose Systems’. These manual fire protection systems are critical to firefighting operations specifically for multi-story buildings and difficult to access areas where proper design and installation is imperative for successful use. The webinar is part of the online training resources offered by Fire Smarts.
The “Understanding NFPA 14 Standpipes” webinar will be presented by fire protection industry expert, Tracey Bellamy, P.E., CFPS. During this 90-minute training, Mr. Bellamy will describe the types of standpipes, explain the use and purpose of standpipe classifications, explain the roles and responsibilities of each relevant stakeholder including the building owner, locate and apply basic design and installation requirements, and describe the required acceptance tests.
Registration is open to all interested parties. For more information and to register for this webinar click here Understanding NFPA 14 Standpipes.
