This course begins with a review of the scope and purpose of NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems. The presenter will review the major revisions made to the standard for the 2023 edition including the latest information regarding updated definitions, remote inspection and testing of systems, testing of sprinklers, and the use of nitrogen in dry and preaction systems. Special emphasis is placed on the new guidance for classifying conditions found while conducting inspections, tests, and maintenance.
