Fire alarm systems in data center facilities have unique challenges and additional requirements that designers need to be familiar with. This course reviews requirements found in NFPA 75 ‘Standard for the Fire Protection of Information Technology Equipment’ as well as the design issues related to high airflow and power shut downs that are often required for these spaces. The presenter will also discuss hot/cold aisles and how to properly design detection for this type of area.
