Course Description: With the addition of Section 510 to the International Fire Code (IFC), the use of Emergency Responder Radio Coverage Systems (ERRCS) continues to increase in order to provide critical communication inside and outside a building. This course provides an understanding of how these systems work, why they are required in many new installations and the code requirements that need to be considered. The presenter will cover common terminology used, system components such as Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDA) and donor antennas, as well as the basics of system operations.
