This course provides an understanding of fire protection requirements during construction activities including new construction, facility renovations, and facility additions. The presenter will cover roles and responsibilities of the owner, designated fire protection program manager, and authority having jurisdiction. Participants will learn how to determine code requirements for fire protection during construction and renovation activities as well as how to develop a pre-fire plan. A general overview of fire alarm, fire detection, fire suppression, and fire prevention methods to be employed during renovation and construction activities will also be discussed.
