This course will discuss integration between the fire alarm system and security systems such as card access control and closed circuit television. While fire alarm systems are mainly code driven, the presentation will review times where interfacing non-mandatory process monitoring or remote alarms helps to create a safer facility. Out-bound interfaces from the fire alarm system to other building systems is also discussed. Finally, considerations of how NFPA 3000 may impact systems integration will be reviewed.
